Q: Do I need to bring my own creation or will there be bricks there to build with?

A: You must bring your own creation already built!   But your creation can be in pieces for transportation purposes and assembled onsite. There will be no ‘building’ at the contest.

 

 

Q: Can I bring a set that I have built using instructions from LEGO or the Internet?

A: Set Built creations can be brought but must go in the ‘Display Only’ category. NOTE: Set Built creations cannot be entered into the judged categories and are only eligible for participation prizes, not contest prizes.

 

 

Q: Can I enter more than one creation?

A: Yes! You can have multiple entries, but you will need to pay an entry fee for each one. However, if you want only one entry, you can combine your creations. Example: You may have a plane and a boat in the same ‘scene.'

 

 

Q: What are the ‘Participation Prizes’-- meaning what prizes do we get just for participating?

A: Each participant, including those in the “Display Only” category, will receive a $5 gift certificate for Come Back Shack of Boone. Each participant in the Explorer, Creator, or Brick Master categories will also receive a raffle ticket (value $2). If you register in advance, you will also receive an additional raffle ticket.

 

 

Q: How does the raffle work? When is it held? How many winners? What kind of prizes? Can we buy unlimited raffle tickets at the contest? If so, will each ticket cost $2?

A: Contact the Contest Administrator Erik Lanier just before or during the contest hours.

 

 

Q: Should I register in advance?

A: YES! If there are too many entries and we run out of table space, we will have to cut off new entries at the event. Also, it helps us by letting us gauge how many tables we will need. AND if you register in advance, you will receive an extra raffle ticket!
